Kährs was established in 1857 in Nybro, located in the deep forests of the southern part of Sweden. Over the decades, Kährs has turned into a leading global company with sales in more than 70 countries. Today, the company has a market leading position in Sweden, Finland, Norway and Russia and a strong position in other important markets including the UK, Germany and the United States.
Kährs is represented through its own personnel in 17 countries. The technical development and centre for design for is still located in Nybro, Sweden, while the production units for hardwood flooring are found in Sweden, Finland, Russia, Romania and Poland.

The commercial project segment is one of the keys to Kährs continued success. Our global network of showrooms provides the required infrastructure for our commercial project processes around the world. They support architects and designers, while ensuring that our floors are professionally delivered and installed. Today, our showrooms can be found in design metropolises around the world, including Stockholm, London, Shanghai, Dubai, Moscow and Madrid.

WIDE RANGE OF COLOURS AND TREATMENTS
Our wood floors come in many wood species, sizes, patterns and finishes that provide endless variations and looks. Brushed, hand-scraped, bevelled, silky smooth or matt – each Kährs plank is unique and individually treated, according to its own unique composition of knots and graining and the look we want to achieve. The result is a dynamic surface that transforms in different lights and depending on which angle it's viewed from.
Our floors are available in a wide range of colours and shades, ranging from light to dark. To obtain the right nuance, we use staining techniques and different surface treatments.
We also offer many types of surface treatments that will both enhance and protect the natural beauty of the wood. All our surface treatments are naturally free from solvents, formaldehyde and isocyanate. They also make the floor easy to clean and maintain.
75% MORE STABLE THAN SOLID WOOD FLOORING
Compared to a traditional solid wood floor, our patented construction is 75% more stable. A Kährs floor resists warping, buckling and cracking, even as temperature and humidity change throughout the seasons. This also makes our wood floors the perfect partner for underfloor heating. When Kährs launched Woodloc® in 2000 – the first glue-free joint system in the world – it revolutionized the wood flooring industry. This ingenious joint system locks the boards together mechanically, creating a completely gap-free floor.

In order to reduce the sound of step, drum and airborne sound, we are also offering supreme, acoustic underlayer material.
